My trip to Turkey!
About 2 weeks ago, I returned to Madrid from Turkey. I spent almost 2 weeks in Turkey and had an amazing time! There were many things that impressed me about Turkey, the food, the beautiful architecture, the great landscapes, etc. What I would like to talk about in this post is what impressed me most, the hospitality of the people.
We got to Istanbul the 31st of March and were super tired. Naturally we needed and were excited to try a Turkish coffee. We went to the Grand Bazaar, a wonderful market of spices, jewelry, rugs, and all that you could ask for. We wanted to have a coffee but were told to sit in one of the stores. We ended up talking to the store owner for over 20 minutes. Not only did he not try to sell us anything, but he paid for our coffee.
In our trip in Turkey, we encountered many people like this. There were people that were interested in getting to know us. There were people that helped us find our way. There was the woman in the haman who called us beautiful and told me about her children with the little English that she knew. I cannot count the amount of times that someone helped us on our trip. I am very happy that I had the opportunity to go on this trip and I hope to return!

¡Vaya! Debe de haber sido sorprendente encontrar toda esa hospitalidad. Estaba preguntándome algo... ¿tenías alguna idea sobre este país antes de visitarlo? ¿ha cambiado alguna imagen que tenías?
