Why participate? Young Adults

Are you younger than 18 years old and are not sure whether or not to participate here? Keep reading and you will be convinced...

1. Cibercorresponsales is a different social network. Here there are hundreds of people your age that, through their association, their institution, etc. have very interesting things to say. You are able to know them, make new friends, share ideas, discover other forms of thinking, share what you know...And they are not just in Spain!

2. Do you agree with the media view of “young people”? Drinking, school violence, lack of commitment, problems in general...This is how young people your age are typically represented in the news. Now you can change it. Show everyone what you are interested in, what you do, what you think about.

3. Do you know the number of people that are able to read your blog and comment about it? This is the Internet, so no blog is hard to find. Due to this, it is normal for your article to receive more than 1,000 views in a small amount of time, or receive more than 10 comments from other cibercorresponsales. Write...and you will see.

4. Does your voice feel heard? Do you think that since adults write the news they get their voices heard most of the time? Do you have limited space where you can express yourself? Well, here you can :-)

5. Here you can learn many interesting things. There are cibercorresponsales that write about electric guitars, parkour, hip-hop, video games... Some write about movies and music, allowing people to discover new things. Also, some write in English. People improve their writing, look at things in a different way or maybe discover that they want to be a journalist!

6. Be a cibercorresponsal, it’s cool! Cibercorresponsales are special. They are young individuals who participate in a project in their society, their neighborhood...and tell us what they do. They are daring journalists that look for the news, investigate and allow us to discover new things through their blogs. And sometimes they talk on the radio, or we invite them to an event to cover what happens with other professional journalists, or they help us present this program to other young individuals. How cool is that?!
